Using the Our Future Health data resource for research (MRC pilot)

A pilot scheme in which the Medical Research Council (MRC) will cover data access costs for eligible MRC-supported researchers to use the Our Future Health dataset. The scheme supports one study per named researcher, with studies expected to last one to two years. Computation costs are not covered by MRC, although nominal cloud credits are provided by Our Future Health until at least 2027. Access to the dataset is subject to Our Future Health terms and the usual study application and approval process.

Applicants must be researchers supported by MRC funding (including those with at least six months remaining on an MRC grant), researchers based at an MRC-funded institute or unit, or senior researchers applying on behalf of MRC-funded students or fellows where the majority of the student/fellow's funding is from MRC. Researchers already using the Our Future Health dataset for the same research area are not eligible.

Submit an expression of interest to MRC via an online form; if eligibility is confirmed, register with Our Future Health and submit a study application through the Our Future Health process.
