Tarbell Fellowship 2027

The Tarbell Fellowship 2027 is a one-year journalism fellowship for talented journalists and emerging reporters interested in covering artificial intelligence and its growing impact on society. The programme combines intensive training, a newsroom placement and professional development opportunities designed to help fellows build careers in AI journalism, including a nine-month newsroom placement and an AI Journalism Fundamentals course.

Stipend during the fellowship; nine-month newsroom placement at major outlets; AI Journalism Fundamentals course; travel and accommodation for the Fellowship Summit.

The fellowship is open to rising journalism talent from around the world. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to journalism and an interest in understanding and reporting on artificial intelligence and its effects on society. Previous newsroom experience is desirable but not mandatory; a university degree is not required.

Submit a CV, responses to application questions, and one to three writing samples through the official Tarbell Center for AI Journalism application process.
