SENSS Collaborative Supervisor-led Competition

The SENSS Collaborative Supervisor-led Competition invites primary supervisors to develop research proposals with external partners to create funded doctoral studentships beginning in October 2027. Up to eight ring-fenced collaborative studentships will be offered, with supervisors partnering with non-HEI organisations such as businesses, government bodies, or third-sector organisations. Projects must align with one of the six SENSS interdisciplinary themes and aim to recruit a doctoral researcher under a funded studentship.

Doctoral studentship with funding; supervisor collaboration and project development support; potential partner contributions to the studentship.

Applications are submitted through the SENSS online application system; detailed guidance and documents are provided to applicants.
