Fermat Mathematical Olympiad (FMO)

The Fermat Mathematical Olympiad (FMO) is an annual international mathematics competition organised by Fermat Education / Mastery Center for Olympiad Education. It offers grade-based categories for students from Grade 1 through Grade 12 and progresses from national rounds to an international Final Round. Successful national medalists are eligible to register for the international Final Round, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for 2026–2027. The competition emphasises reasoning, creative problem-solving and applying school mathematics in unfamiliar contexts.

Medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze) at national level; international exposure; eligible medalists may register to represent Sri Lanka at the international Final Round.

Students may enter the category corresponding to their school grade (Grade 1–12). For the 2026–2027 Final Round, students who win Gold, Silver or Bronze awards in the National Round are eligible to register for the Final Round.
