Anthropic Conceptual Reasoning Fellowship 2027

The Conceptual Reasoning Fellowship is a four-month research fellowship for experts in philosophy, cognitive science, economics, public policy and law to advance AI reasoning capabilities. Fellows work with Anthropic’s research teams to investigate complex questions, evaluate AI performance and develop methods for improvement, using Claude as a primary tool. The fellowship runs from 12 January to 8 May 2027 and includes compensation plus other benefits.

Monetary compensation, access to Claude models and internal evaluation tools, mentorship, collaboration with Anthropic researchers.

Applicants must hold a PhD, be completing a PhD in philosophy, cognitive science, economics, public policy or law, or demonstrate equivalent research experience, and have authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship.
