Willkommens­tage in der frühen Elternzeit

Willkommens­tage in der frühen Elternzeit is a preventive support programme for families during the first year of a child's life. It offers home visits, counselling by family support workers and father-educators, peer contact opportunities such as mother cafés and family Saturdays, and links families into local early-help networks. The programme targets families not reached by existing early parenthood offers and aims to facilitate access to services and support for everyday and parenting challenges.

Regular home visits by family support workers and father-educators; counselling on parenting and everyday matters; help with applications and, if needed, accompaniment to authorities; mother cafés, family Saturdays with childcare and shared meals; connection to local support services.

Families with a newborn in the first year of life who are not reached by existing early-parenthood services and who wish support around birth and the first year; referrals are made by professionals such as baby guides.

Interested families are asked to contact the Stiftung's project contact person or the FamilienGesundheitsZentrum Frankfurt am Main; professionals (e.g. baby guides) can refer families and initiate contact.
