Cottrell Regional Meeting Awards

The Cottrell Regional Meeting Awards provide funding to Cottrell Scholars and Holland Awardees to host one-day regional meetings at their institutions that foster discussion of research, teaching, and career development. The initiative supports up to four regional meetings annually and accepts applications for recurrent meetings over three consecutive years. Meetings may focus on research or education and should encourage diverse participation, including faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students from nearby institutions. Priority is given to meetings at primarily undergraduate institutions and to outreach to underrepresented groups and minority-serving institutions.

Award of up to $5,000 to support one-day regional meeting expenses (food, travel, advertising, space and supplies); priority travel support for underrepresented groups and faculty/postdocs at PUIs and minority-serving institutions.

Applications are open to Cottrell Scholars and Holland Awardees who wish to host one-day regional meetings at their institutions.

Log into the PRISM portal, start a new application, and select 'Cottrell Scholar Regional Meetings – 2024'.
