Mecila Sabbatical Senior Fellowship 2027

The Mecila Sabbatical Senior Fellowship 2027 offers a six-month research fellowship hosted by MECILA in São Paulo, Brazil. It supports experienced scholars to develop independent research projects aligned with Mecila’s focus on conviviality and inequality, with full-time engagement at the Mecila Centre. The program provides travel costs coverage and a housing allowance for the duration of the fellowship (1 March – 30 November 2027).

Applicants must hold a senior position at a university or research institution, be internationally recognised with a significant impact in their field, have a strong publication record on Mecila’s subject, and demonstrate excellent command of English.
