African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AUYVC) 2026

The African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AUYVC) 2026 recruits young African professionals to serve as professional volunteers for a period of 12 months in AU Member States. It is a continental youth leadership program initiated by the African Union Commission to promote volunteerism and engage young people in Africa’s development targets.

Economy return ticket to place of deployment; a monthly stipend to cover living expenses; health insurance; AU Service Passport; separation allowance on successful completion of twelve months service; training and mentorship opportunities.

Applicants must be citizens of AU Member States living on the continent or in the Diaspora, aged 18–35, with post-secondary qualifications, available for 12 months in 2026/27, willing to live and work in another AU Member State, proficient in at least one AU working language, and with at least one year of verifiable volunteering and one year of professional work experience.
