A grant of $150,000 will be awarded to a single early-career scientist to support a research project or programme focused on Africa, biodiversity and conservation, for up to three years. The grant aims to advance scientific knowledge and provide solutions to African challenges through high-quality research and capacity development.

Lead applicant should be an early career scientist who holds a PhD and has no more than seven years of work/research experience post-degree, with strong links to a credible African institution, and the proposed research should be focused on or in Africa with a link to biodiversity and conservation.
