Meta-Science Summer School 2026: Designing and Conducting Studies To Improve Research

A summer school teaching meta-research (research on research) in a hands-on format where participants work in small, international teams to design and begin collecting data for a meta-research study. The programme includes virtual preparatory materials and an in-person residential phase near Frankfurt, Germany, with experienced meta-research instructors. Some project groups may continue working with instructors after the school to complete and publish their study.

Hands-on experience designing a meta-research study, mentorship from internationally-recognised meta-researchers, preparatory online materials, opportunity to continue and publish project work after the school.

Targeted at early career researchers across disciplines interested in meta-research; participants will work collaboratively in small teams.
