African Biology Olympiad

The African Biology Olympiad (ABO) is a continental competition for secondary school students across Africa that showcases biology knowledge and creativity. The 2026 edition uses a format of Biology Video Submission (40%) and an Online National Assessment (60%). Top-performing students qualify for the ABO Continental Finals to compete with peers from other African countries. The competition offers national and continental recognition, prizes, awards and scholarships.

Open to all Secondary School Students (Junior & Senior Categories). Schools may register multiple students; individual registration is allowed.
