South Asia Center Student Research and Travel Grants

Small travel and research grants for University of Washington students conducting research or study related to South Asia during the 2025-26 academic year. Grants may fund conference travel and registration fees, materials, supplies, and services in support of research. Retroactive applications are possible for activities taking place prior to the application deadline. Awards are small, intended to cover items such as software, books, cloud services, and travel expenses.

Small cash awards (approx. $200-$300) to cover conference travel, registration fees, materials, supplies, software, books, and related services.

Open to University of Washington graduate students with affiliation to the South Asia Center who are currently enrolled full time in a graduate program.
