Concurso Escolar de Educación Financiera

An annual school competition that tests secondary and intermediate vocational students on economic and financial knowledge through multiple-choice questions. It has three phases: an online phase, semifinals and a grand final held during the central event of Financial Education Day. The contest is part of the Plan de Educación Financiera and is promoted by the Banco de España together with the CNMV and the Ministry of Economy.

Members of winning and finalist teams usually receive a diploma, a cash prize and a gift; centres in the Grand Final receive a trophy and money to acquire school materials.

Students in secondary education and Ciclos Formativos de grado medio; participation requires registration in the Programa Escolar de Educación Financiera.

Centers must be enrolled in the Programa Escolar de Educación Financiera to participate; registration is done through that programme.
