Call for Grant Proposals for Empowerment of Women

A grant programme implemented by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) under the Women’s Voice and Leadership - Bangladesh (WVLB) project funded by Global Affairs Canada. It provides multi-year project grants to women’s rights organisations, coalitions and networks working to advance gender equality and protect the rights of women and girls in Bangladesh. Grants are offered at micro, small and medium sizes with multi-year durations and capacity-building objectives. Proposals should contribute to outcomes such as improved organisational management, enhanced service delivery, advocacy and strengthened networks.

Multi-year project grants (micro/small/medium amounts in BDT) and associated programme support to strengthen organisational management, advocacy and service delivery.

Applications are sought from women’s rights organisations (WROs), women coalitions, networks and consortia operating in Bangladesh; the executive director/head must be a woman, all governing board members should be women, at least 50% of staff must be women, applicants must be registered NGOs and demonstrate experience and basic financial and technical capacity (micro/small grants: at least 3 years’ experience; medium: 5 years). Networks or consortia may apply provided a lead WRO meeting eligibility signs the agreement.
