Empa Young Scientist Fellowship

The Empa Young Scientist Fellowship is a two-year funded fellowship that enables an outstanding early-career researcher to carry out an independent research project at Empa. It is intended as a launchpad for an external scientific career rather than a route to permanent employment. Fellowships are awarded through a competitive selection procedure. The costs for a two-year fellowship are stated at CHF 135,000 per year.

Financial support to carry out an independent research project for two years; the fellowship can be named after a donor.

The fellowship is for extraordinarily gifted young scientists; Empa hosts doctoral and postdoctoral researchers and the fellowship is intended for early-career researchers.

Fellowships are awarded in a competitive selection procedure.
