European Summer School on Industrial Biotechnology

The European Summer School on Industrial Biotechnology (ESSIB) is a training course held at the Department of Biology of the Universität Hamburg. The 5th edition focused on "Functional Metagenomics: From Nature to Biochemical Functions" and took place from July 3 to July 6. ESSIB is established as an annual training course for PhD students and postdocs in biotechnology-related fields. The programme covers topics across biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioprocess engineering, and bioinformatics.
