A WE-Heraeus seminar focusing on functional materials at surfaces, covering fabrication, atomic-scale characterization and routes toward applications, with emphasis on scanning probe microscopy and complementary high-resolution techniques. The seminar brings together researchers to provide an overview of recent progress in organic structures on surfaces, deposition techniques, atomistic control of single molecules and 2D materials. The conference language is English and the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-Foundation covers full-board accommodation for all participants.
