British Academy International Fellowships 2026

The British Academy International Fellowships 2026 provide support for outstanding early career researchers to develop an independent research career with international collaboration. The programme is jointly run by the British Academy and the Royal Society and offers a two-year fellowship with specific research funding and relocation support.

Applicants must hold a PhD (or be in the final stages of their PhD) and have no more than five years of active postdoctoral experience at the time of application; applicants must be working outside the UK and not hold UK citizenship; they should have an English language proficiency and a defined research proposal agreed with a UK host researcher.
