Golestan Fellowship

The Golestan Fellowship at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study offers a fully funded research residency in Amsterdam for 5 to 10 months during the 2027–2028 academic year. It targets researchers whose work bridges medical or biological sciences with humanities or social sciences, aiming to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and independent research in a scholarly environment.

Dedicated research time (5 or 10 months), stipend or grant for living expenses, office space and research infrastructure, subsidized accommodation in Amsterdam, access to an international scholarly network, opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development.

Applicants must have more than three years of post-PhD research experience and work in the medical or biological sciences with clear connections to the humanities or social sciences.
