NHS Global Fellowships

The NHS Global Fellowship Programme offers leadership development opportunities for NHS staff to experience health systems globally. Fellows undertake projects focused on quality improvement, research, or clinical work, co-developed with local or national partners, to enhance patient care and reduce health inequalities. The programme includes fellowships abroad with various duration options and a range of supports such as stipends, travel, and visas.

Stipend for living expenses, round-trip travel, visa/residency support, vaccinations, accommodation, insurance, and in-country support.

Minimum 2 years of NHS work experience, currently employed within the NHS in England, and relevant professional qualification/registration where applicable. Doctors and Dentists must have completed Foundation Year 2 and must be able to commence a Fellowship in February or August for 6 or 12 months.
