Small Grants Program VIII (SGP VIII)

The Small Grants Program VIII (SGP VIII) offers implementation research funding for African researchers and institutions to address neglected tropical diseases. It provides up to USD 65,000 for mid‑career researchers and up to USD 30,000 for early‑career researchers, aiming to strengthen national NTD programmes and foster capacity building and collaboration. The program is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and aligns with the WHO 2030 NTD Roadmap.

Funding support for implementation research, capacity building, institutional strengthening, and opportunities for collaboration with policymakers and implementers.

Applicants must be African researchers or academics based in universities or research institutions and align proposed research with their country’s NTD programme priorities.

Submit proposals aligned with WHO 2030 NTD Roadmap; shortlisting followed by full proposals in English; apply online by the deadline.
