Civic Space Research Officer – West, Central and Lusophone Africa

CIVICUS is hiring a Civic Space Research Officer focusing on Central, West and Lusophone Africa. The role contributes to civic space research priorities, supports the CIVICUS Monitor, and prepares high-quality research papers and analyses. The position involves developing curated research content, supporting global research collaborations, and tracking civic space trends and developments.

Salary for the position

A Master’s degree is preferred in Political Science, Law, Sociology, International Relations, Journalism or Development, with at least three years of relevant professional experience; fluency in English is required, French is mandatory and Portuguese desirable.
