Makerere University MasterCard Scholarships 2026/2027 for African Students

Makerere University, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, offers full scholarships for African undergraduate and master’s students to study at Makerere University. The scholarships provide comprehensive financial, academic, social and leadership development support for the duration of the study. The program targets financially disadvantaged African students and has supported cohorts since 2014.

Undergraduate applicants must be Ugandan nationals, refugees, students with disabilities, internally displaced young people, or international students applying for admission under the private sponsorship scheme for 2026/2027; for master’s, applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in Africa and meet age and scholarship conditions.
