Iso Lomso Fellowships 2026 for Early Career African Researchers

Iso Lomso Fellowships 2026 offer a three-year attachment to STIAS to enable African scholars to develop and conduct a long-term research programme. The fellowships provide STIAS residencies and support to establish scholars in their fields, with residency periods varying between six weeks and five months per residency and a first period during 2027, followed by two further residencies through 2029.

Economy return flight, accommodation, office facilities, monthly stipend, library access, high-speed internet, participation in fellows programme, childcare subsidy.

Applicants must be African nationals with a doctoral degree obtained after 1 January 2018, affiliated with a research or higher education institution in Africa, and able to commence a first residency at STIAS in 2027.
