UNESCO Japan Young Researchers Fellowships Programme 2026

The UNESCO Japan Young Researchers Fellowships Programme 2026 is a funded fellowship enabling young researchers to conduct postgraduate research in Japan at leading universities and research institutions, with a focus on areas aligned with UNESCO’s priorities such as heritage conservation, AI for sustainable development, and climate action. Fellows receive a grant to support research-related expenses, and the program covers travel, accommodation, medical insurance, living expenses, and other approved costs, for a period of three to nine months. The programme aims to strengthen research capacity, foster international collaboration, and contribute to global sustainable development.
