The Student Energy Career Training Program 2025 for young African women

The Student Energy Career Training Program (SECT) builds leadership and employability skills through energy education, project management training, and individualized career coaching, with experiential learning opportunities from leading energy companies. Cohort 6 is themed “Women in Energy Africa” and is exclusively for young women from 18 to 30 years in Africa interested in developing their careers in the energy sector. The program is fully online and delivered in English.

Access to learning modules on Energy Systems 101 and related topics; hands-on experience with an industry partner on a real-world project; mentorship with energy professionals; development of project management, leadership, and teamwork skills; personalized career coaching and access to Student Energy’s global network.

Women in Africa aged 18-30 who are interested in working in the sustainable energy sector.

Submit responses to two essay questions, a 2–3 minute unlisted YouTube video, an updated CV, and demonstrate commitment to full participation; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
