2015 UNESCO/MERCK AFRICA RESEARCH SUMMIT IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND

The Merck Africa Research Summit (MARS) aims to bring together researchers from across Africa to discuss the generation, sharing and dissemination of research data and to prepare for Africa’s development as a hub for scientific innovation. The summit focuses on building research capacity in African health research, with special attention to Ebola and emergent infectious diseases, and showcases innovative African research initiatives.

Full sponsorship to attend the Summit for up to 100 selected scientists; 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards with monetary or fellowship prizes.

Abstracts are invited from final year African PhD students and young investigators involved in HIV, Ebola and other infectious disease research.

Submit abstract with author and co-authors, descriptive title, keywords, and select topic; submission requires a copy of passport at a later stage.
