FoodTech Award, 2022, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment UAE

The FoodTech Challenge seeks to identify technology innovations in food production and in reducing food loss and waste. It targets early-stage agri-food tech start-ups, including international university-based research teams, individual entrepreneurs, and small firms. A total prize pool of US $2 million includes cash awards, incentive schemes, start-up acceleration, and R&D support, with 10 finalists competing at a two-day event that features workshops, networking, panels, and an awards ceremony; four winning teams receive a share of the prize and associated opportunities.

Open to all participants above 18 years old, focused on early-stage agri-food tech start-ups addressing Food Production or Food Loss and Waste, with a workable minimum viable product and under five years of operation and no more than 25 employees.
