Conf/CfP - Plantation Societies in Comparative Perspective, 2022, University of Pittsburgh, US

The Working Group on Comparative Slavery invites submissions of abstracts for an international conference entitled Plantation Societies in Comparative Perspective at the University of Pittsburgh. The event seeks to explore slavery across spaces and times with diverse theoretical and methodological approaches, including comparative and transnational perspectives.

Submissions from scholars working beyond Atlantic frameworks and engaging in comparative or multi-site analyses of slavery are welcome. Abstracts may be submitted in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
