Civil Society Strengthening Fund for Malawian CSOs

The Civil Society Strengthening Fund (CSSF) is a funding mechanism implemented by Tilitonse Foundation in partnership with Comic Relief and UK Aid to strengthen local Malawian civil society organisations. It supports organisational strengthening and core (unrestricted) funding across themes like Early Childhood Development, Gender Justice, Mental Health, Safe and Secure Shelter, and Climate Change. Grants are awarded to eligible local CSOs for multi-year periods.

Financial grants for capacity building and core activities; support for project implementation within funded themes.

Local CSOs operating within Malawi; international organizations and individuals are ineligible.

Submit an electronic application to csssubmission@tilitonsefoundation.org with the subject 'Submission for Application for the Civil Society Strengthening Fund', or send a hard copy to Tilitonse Foundation in Lilongwe. Additional guidance sessions are available in multiple cities with details announced on the Foundation's platforms.
