Africa Youth Agribusiness and Rural Economic Activities Research Grant

Action-oriented research fellowship announced by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) to study youth engagement in agribusiness and rural economic activities in Africa. It offers opportunities for young academics and professionals, including post-course work/research students, to conduct research and gain mentorship and training in research methodology and policy-relevant evidence production.

Funding up to $10,000; supervision by IITA scientists; training on research methodology, data management and scientific writing; exchange with a community of fellows.

Applicants must be under 40 years old, be a young scholar at a research institute or university in Africa or a student in a PhD or Master’s program in Africa, and must be able to conduct research in the target countries; duration should not exceed 6 months.
