GDC Global Voices Essay Challenge 2025

The GDC Global Voices Essay Challenge 2025 invites students to respond to the question about what inclusive digital transformation means for sustainable development in LMICs. It is open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students, with winners invited to attend GDC 2025 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and featured in publications and on digital platforms. Selected winners may also have opportunities for continued engagement with GDN and related activities.

Winners will be invited to attend GDC 2025 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, participate in a communications workshop, be featured in a publication on digital transformation, have their work published and promoted on GDN platforms, and receive an official Certificate of Achievement from GDN. Selected winners may be offered opportunities for continued engagement with GDN activities.

Open to students currently enrolled at an academic institution in a LMIC, or who have graduated from an LMIC within the last six months, or are currently based in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Submit a digital essay of 750–1000 words (excluding references/citations) in PDF or Word format via the GDC 2025 platform; submissions must adhere to the Ethical Standards and be completed by the stated deadline.
