NCDMB National Undergraduate Essay Competition 2026

The NCDMB National Undergraduate Essay Competition 2026 is the tenth edition of an annual essay contest organised by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). It invites eligible undergraduate students to write original essays on the topic “Promoting Manufacturing for Sustainable Local Content Development.” Winners receive cash prizes and laptops, and entries are submitted and assessed online.

1st place: ₦1,000,000 and a laptop; 2nd place: ₦700,000 and a laptop; 3rd place: ₦500,000 and a laptop; 4th–10th places: laptops.

100-level or 200-level students enrolled in public or private Nigerian universities or polytechnics; colleges of education are excluded by the current official rules unless confirmed otherwise via the official portal.

Prepare required student documentation and submit the essay (max 1,500 words) through the official NCDMB Essay Competition portal.
