Wangari Maathai Fellowship 2025 for Tanzanians

The Wangari Maathai Fellowship 2025 is a fellowship designed to empower young Tanzanian leaders in environmental sustainability and climate adaptation. It includes formal learning, hands-on project implementation, networking and policy engagement, and a sub-grant to support a climate action project. Fellows participate in hybrid learning (in-person and virtual) over eight months and receive mentorship and skill-building opportunities.

Sub-grant of €500 for project implementation, professional mentorship, and access to skill-building opportunities related to climate resilience and governance.

Applicants must be between 20 and 30 years old, based in Tanzania, fluent in English and Kiswahili, a recent university graduate, and eligible to participate in a hybrid(in-person and virtual) programme.
