Support for internships for foreign students and foreign Lithuanians studying in Lithuanian higher education institutions (2026)

A funding programme to support two-month internships in Lithuania for foreign students and foreign Lithuanians enrolled in second-cycle or integrated study programmes at Lithuanian higher education institutions in 2026. Funding is awarded to Lithuanian higher education institutions, which apply on behalf of groups of students (5–10 quotas per application). Selected students receive a fixed monthly internship stipend and access to required training organised by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation.

Stipend for internships: 650 EUR/month (fixed for the internship period); administrative funding to institutions: 500 EUR per participating student; access to mandatory training materials and courses.

Foreign nationals and foreign Lithuanians who in 2026 are enrolled in Lithuanian higher education institutions in second-cycle (master) or integrated study programmes in full-time mode, and who are in their final year at the time of the internship. Applications are submitted by Lithuanian higher education institutions on behalf of students.

Lithuanian higher education institutions submit one electronic application via the Education Exchanges Support Foundation application system (https://www.sistema.smpf.lt/), select project 'Parama užsieniečių stažuotėms', upload a signed institutional declaration and complete the online form.
