Support for visits of invited lecturers and practitioner-lecturers from foreign countries 2027

The programme funds visits by invited foreign lecturers, researchers and practitioner-lecturers to Lithuanian higher education institutions for teaching activities. Visits must focus on direct work with students and last between 5 and 15 teaching days. The activity period for funded visits is from 2027-01-01 to 2027-12-15 and certain remote teaching by Ukrainian citizens is allowed under an exception.

Institutional co-financing of at least 30% of the total cost of each visit is required. only days with direct work with students are funded.

Eligible participants are highly qualified lecturers, researchers and practitioners from foreign science and study institutions; Russian and Belarusian citizens are excluded. Applications must be submitted by Lithuanian higher education institutions via a designated coordinator.

Lithuanian higher education institutions apply through the electronic application system at https://www.sistema.smpf.lt/; a registered coordinator creates and submits the application, attaching the invited lecturer's CV and a preliminary confirmation to teach, and signed declaration by the institution head.
