IKY funding for student teams to participate in international competitions (academic year 2025–2026)

The programme provides lump-sum financial support to student teams representing Greek higher education institutions to participate in international scientific competitions during the academic year 2025–2026. Each participating student receives a grant of €500, with a maximum of €5,000 per team for teams exceeding ten members. Applications are submitted by university Departments/Schools and selected groups are approved by the IKY Board of Directors. Participations in competitions held in Greece are not eligible for funding.

€500 per participating student; maximum €5,000 per team. Funds are deposited directly to students' bank accounts upon submission of required documentation; teams must provide proof of participation after the competition.

Applications must be submitted by the Departments or Schools of Greek higher education institutions on behalf of student teams that will represent their university in international competitions; participations in competitions held in Greece are excluded.

Departments/Schools complete the application form and submit it with supporting documents by email to diagwnismoi[at]iky.gr between 1 September and 15 October 2025; the IKY Board selects beneficiary teams.
