EMS Young Academy (EMYA) 2027–2030

The EMS Young Academy (EMYA) is a cohort-based body within the European Mathematical Society that brings together early-career mathematicians to contribute to EMS activities and to develop initiatives for early-career researchers. Members participate in shaping EMS decision-making and represent the perspective of younger mathematicians within the society. The academy selects a cohort for a fixed term (here 2027–2030) through nomination by EMS corporate members.

Nominations are accepted from 3rd-year PhD students up to candidates who are within five years post-PhD at the time of nomination; extensions are applied for parental or documented leave. Only EMS corporate members may submit nominations (up to two each).

Corporate members submit nominations via the EMS calls platform using the form 'Nomination to the EMS Young Academy 2026'; each nomination requires nominee details, a nominating-institution recommendation letter, and a motivation letter from the nominee. Submissions can be modified or withdrawn up to the deadline.
