KHMW Proefschriftprijs Interdisciplinariteit

The KHMW Proefschriftprijs Interdisciplinariteit is an annual prize of €10,000 awarded for a doctoral thesis with a notably interdisciplinary character, bridging the classical alpha/beta/gamma scientific domains. The prize is funded by the Dr. Elizabeth Schram-Mulley (ESM) Stichting and is bestowed on a single researcher. It is intended as an encouragement prize for researchers whose PhD research is genuinely interdisciplinary.

€10,000 prize awarded to one researcher

The 2027 prize is intended for researchers who obtained their doctorate in the period 2025-09-01 to 2026-08-31. The prize is for Dutch nationals or for foreigners who conducted their research at Dutch institutions of education and/or research.

Nominations are submitted (by others) following the announcement on the KHMW webpage; nominations open from November 2026.
