Prijs Prof. Dr. Baron Verstraete voor de studie van de hemato-angiologie

The Prijs Prof. Dr. Baron Verstraete voor de studie van de hemato-angiologie is a monetary prize awarded for scientific work in hemato-angiology, preferably focused on coagulation, fibrinolysis and their interaction with the vessel wall. The prize is intended for an individual researcher or two collaborating researchers and rewards a scientific treatise or a bundle of publications. The work may be submitted in Dutch, French or English and must not have been previously awarded a similar or higher prize.

Monetary prize totalling 7,000 euro (3,000 euro personal, 4,000 euro for research continuation).

An individual researcher or two collaborating researchers may apply; the candidate(s) must have Belgian nationality. Candidates must not have applied for a prize from the Academy in the 12 months prior to the deadline and must not be previous laureates of a category 2 or 3 prize of the Academy. Works produced to obtain an academic title are not eligible.
