Churchill Fellowship — Climate Change Programme

The Churchill Fellowship Climate Change Programme supports practitioners to learn from international practice and develop approaches that help the UK minimise climate change and adapt to its effects. Projects may address decarbonisation, adaptation and resilience, system-wide change, or fair and inclusive climate responses across sectors such as energy, housing, agriculture, planning and community services. Fellows undertake learning visits and apply insights to drive practical change in the UK. The programme prioritises applicants working directly with climate-related challenges in practice, policy or community settings.

The programme is open to people with novel ideas and the potential to make a difference, including practitioners and policymakers in sectors such as energy, transport, housing, agriculture, planning, education, local government and civil society, community groups and individuals with lived experience of climate impacts. The Fellowship values both lived and learned experience and prioritises those less likely to receive funding from elsewhere.

Submit an online application form via the Churchill Fellowship website; shortlisted applicants progress to an interview.
