Premio Mujeres en Ciencia

The Premio Mujeres en Ciencia is a biennial award administered by the Academia de Ciencias Físicas, Matemáticas y Naturales (ACFIMAN) to recognise Venezuelan women who have contributed to the consolidation of scientific and technological activity in Venezuela. The prize honours achievements in the institutionalisation of science through knowledge production, training of specialised human resources and academic or institutional leadership. The 13th edition awards work in areas related to the exact and natural sciences, including Biology, Earth Sciences, Computing, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Diploma and a monetary contribution (amount determined by the Dorta-Vivas family).

Female researchers resident in Venezuela whose work has contributed to research production, training of specialised human resources or academic and institutional management; nominations are solicited from academic institutions, research groups and selected proposers.

Nominations and applications submitted by email to premios@acfiman.org including the candidate's CV and a statement of merits; the Academy requests nominations from academic institutions, research groups and selected proposers.
