Cor Baayen Early Career Researcher Award

An annual award recognising an outstanding early-career researcher in informatics and applied mathematics. It is open to nominees who meet the eligibility rules and have carried out research in one of the listed ERCIM countries. The award includes a monetary prize and typically an invitation to present at ERCIM events. Nominations are submitted by staff of ERCIM member institutes.

€5,000 prize and an invitation to present at the ERCIM Fall Meetings

Nominees must have carried out their work in one of the ERCIM countries listed and must have been awarded their PhD (or equivalent) after 30 April 2023; the nominee must have performed their research for at least one year in an institution located in one of the listed countries. Nominations must be submitted by a staff member of an ERCIM member institute and self-nominations are not permitted.

Nominations submitted by staff of ERCIM member institutes using the Cor Baayen Award Nomination Form; each institute may submit up to two nominations and self-nominations are not permitted. Nominations must include a URL to the candidate’s full-text PhD thesis and URLs to up to three major scientific achievements.
