The European Commission– Galway University PhD Scholarship is a fully funded doctoral opportunity embedded in the Joint Research Centre's Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships. It funds four years of research on the sovereignty implications of European open data, with a split residency across Ireland and Italy and dual supervision from Galway and JRC scientists. The package combines an Irish Hardiman stipend, full tuition coverage, conference travel funds and equipment support, plus a JRC salary during the Italian residency.

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen
Applicants must have at least a 2.1 honours degree or a master’s in computer science, information systems, political science, law, public policy, public administration, or a related field; must hold EU nationality or be from a country associated with the EU Research Framework Programmes, or have been resident in an EU member state for at least five years; and must be willing to relocate between Ireland and Italy.
