Royal Society Short Industry Fellowships 2026 [Round 1]

Applications are open for the first round of Royal Society Short Industry Fellowships 2026. The scheme enables scientists employed in industry or academia and/or their postdoctoral researcher to have shorter, dynamic engagements between academia and industry, working on a mutually beneficial and collaborative project. Awards involve mobility between sectors in the UK and aim to support career development and knowledge exchange between industry and academia.

Salary support during the secondment and up to £1,000 for research expenses; opportunities for mobility and collaboration between academia and industry; career development and enhanced knowledge exchange.

You hold a PhD or are of equivalent standing and have a position in a UK university, a UK not-for-profit research organisation or UK industry, with an end date after the expected fellowship end.
