AIMS South Africa AI for Science Master’s Program 2026-2027

AI for Science is a stream in AIMS South Africa’s Master’s degree in Mathematical Science, funded through a partnership with Google DeepMind. It is a fully residential one-year taught master's program with a research component, offering full scholarships and access to computation resources. The program connects African students with expertise in AI and the sciences and includes mentoring and support from Google DeepMind researchers and engineers.

To be eligible, you must be a resident in Africa at the time of application, a citizen of an African country, have completed a four-year undergraduate degree (or a three-year degree with an honours year by August 2025), and not have previously held a scholarship to study at an AIMS centre.
