LawAI Summer Research Fellowship 2027

The LawAI Summer Research Fellowship 2027 is a fully funded 10-week fellowship for law students, JD/LLM holders, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, legal academics and professionals to work on AI law and policy. The program combines remote and in-person components, with a convening week in Washington, DC, and provides mentorship, project development opportunities, and engagement with policymakers and AI law experts.

Mentorship from AI law and policy experts, opportunities to develop and present a research project, networking with fellows and experts, and exposure to future opportunities in the field.

Applications are open to law students, JD/LLM holders, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, legal academics and legal professionals with an interest in AI regulation in US law.

Submit an online application by the stated deadline, complete an asynchronous interview, then a research interview if invited; successful applicants are notified mid-March 2027.
