Schmidt Science Fellows

Schmidt Science Fellows is a postdoctoral fellowship program that brings together interdisciplinary researchers who have completed a PhD in the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computing and places them in a pivoted research role in a field different from their doctoral work. The 2021 cohort consists of early-career scientists selected to pursue interdisciplinary projects addressing global challenges. The program is an initiative of Schmidt Futures, delivered in partnership with the Rhodes Trust, aiming to accelerate discovery by enabling cross-disciplinary collaboration and research.

Open to early-career scientists who have completed a PhD in chemistry, computer science, physics, neuroscience, ecology, or related fields and who are prepared to pursue an interdisciplinary postdoctoral fellowship.
