Columbia Global Emerging Scholars Fellowship Program 2026-2027

The Columbia Global Emerging Scholars Fellowship Program provides year-long fellowships for early-career scholars in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who have been displaced. Fellows receive hosting and workspace at a Columbia Global Center, a stipend, mentorship from Columbia faculty, a small research/travel fund, training, and access to online courses, along with integration into the Columbia Global Centers community.

Eligible candidates are scholars in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who have been forcibly uprooted from their home countries and respective academic institutions; they may be postdoctoral scholars in the early stages of their careers or Ph.D. candidates who have had their education disrupted.

Submit a CV, personal statement, proposal, writing sample, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and displacement documentation via the Submittable portal by March 19, 2026.
